Yes, you can! You can now add checking accounts to Pay Now with Afterpay thanks to a third-party provider we use to validate and link bank accounts called Plaid.
You still need to have a valid card on file (not expired, or about to expire)
Only checking accounts can be linked
We will only accept accounts in USD
Your payments must be up to date
Payments made via a checking account can take up to 5 business days to clear
How do I add my bank account?
Follow the steps below on the Afterpay website or app to link a checking account:
Navigate to 'Payment Methods', then select 'Add a Payment Method'
Select 'Checking Account', then 'Continue'
Select your bank
Enter your credentials (the same that you use for your bank)
Select what checking account you'd like to add
Select 'Link Checking Account'
Having issues logging in to Plaid?
Make sure you are selecting the correct institution & enter the same credentials you use to login to your financial institution. You can verify your details are correct by logging in to your financial institution directly. If you're still unable to login to Plaid, please try again later or contact your financial institution as you may need to allow access to third-party apps.
