Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Why is the Afterpay Plus Card being sunset?
We are continually evaluating our product offerings to provide the best possible experience for our customers. The decision to sunset the Plus Card is part of this ongoing process.
What happens next?
To help ease the transition, you will have access to Plus for 1 month after your next renewal or billing date. For example, if your billing date is April 20th, you will have access to your Plus Card until May 19th.
Do I have to do anything?
No action is required. Your account will be automatically updated to reflect these changes.
What will happen to my Plus orders?
This change will not impact any orders that you made with your Afterpay Plus Card, including any orders made during your last month as a Plus subscriber. This means that your payment schedule will not change, even after your access to the Plus program has ended.
What happens to my Plus Card?
A month after your next billing date, your Afterpay Plus Card will transition to the Afterpay Card. You will be able to use this card at in-store merchants where Afterpay is accepted. For more information about the Afterpay Card, please visit this page.
What’s the difference between the Plus Card and the Afterpay Card?
The Afterpay Plus Card can be used anywhere where Apple or Google Pay are accepted, whereby the Afterpay Card can only be used at merchants where Afterpay is accepted. Just like with the Plus Card, purchases made with the Afterpay Card are paid in four installments over 6 weeks. For more information about purchases made via the Afterpay Card, please review the Terms and Conditions.
What if a merchant doesn’t offer Afterpay as a payment option?
You may be able to shop at that merchant using a Gift Card purchased via the Afterpay App. For more information about purchasing Gift Cards with Afterpay, please visit this page.
